Hemelite Paint Quality
These blocks are ideal for commercial, industrial and leisure buildings (external and internal walls) because you can paint directly on to them. They're robust and durable, while offering excellent fire and sound insulation, and good standards of airtightness. Colour and texture vary according to which factory produces them, so please ask for samples.

- Thermal conductivity (at 3% moisture content):
- Solid and cellular 3.6N/mm² - 0.46W/mK
- Solid 7.3N/mm² - 0.46W/mK
- Solid 10.4N/mm² - 0.48W/mK
- Solid Ultra: 3.6N/mm² and , 7.3N/mm² - 0.38W/mK
- Moisture movement: < 0.80mm/m
- Typical airtightness:
- 100mm solid blocks - emulsion paint finish 0.12 - 0.57m³/(h.m²)

* Manufactured to order. An alternative way to construct 190-215mm walls is to use two leaves of 90mm / 100mm Hemelite blocks laid back to back and suitably tied. Design guidance on both these methods of construction is given in BS 5628-1 or contact Topblock technical services for advice.
